DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT
ROBIN MARQUARDT
I’m running because running helped save my life, and I want others to know that kind of hope is possible.
I’m part of this year’s Dallas to Austin relay because I’m deeply passionate about what running can do for a person’s life. It has given me strength, direction, and a way to keep going through hard seasons.
I’ve struggled with depression for most of my life. Therapy and medication helped, but athletics, and especially running, changed my life in a way nothing else did. It made my mental health more manageable and gave me something to hold onto. Honestly, I do not think I would be here or as strong as I am without it. I’m running this relay because I want that kind of hope, healing, and support to be more visible for others too.
If you believe in showing up for people and supporting something bigger than ourselves, I’d be honored to have your support.
