DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT

SAM LINNEMEYER

I’m running because running helped me turn addiction into something positive.

I’m part of this year’s Dallas to Austin relay because I believe it is a powerful example of what is possible when people come together to do something big. This relay is about collaboration, shared effort, and showing people what can happen when purpose leads.

Mental health is a big reason I got into running. In the past, I struggled with severe addiction, and running became a way to channel that negative energy into something positive. This year, I celebrated over three years sober, and that journey is a big part of why I’m here. I’m running this relay because I know change is possible, and I want my story to point people toward hope.

If you believe in showing up for people and supporting something bigger than ourselves, I’d be honored to have your support.
