DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT
LEXIE K
I’m running because I know what it means to fight for your life, and I want my miles to help someone else keep going.
I’m part of this year’s Dallas to Austin relay because running has become one of the ways I keep choosing life. I’ve struggled with depression on and off since I was a teenager, and this cause means a lot to me because it is personal.
When I was 16, I attempted suicide. Since then, I’ve had to keep fighting through hard seasons, heavy thoughts, and moments where giving up felt easier. One phrase that has helped carry me is, “I get to.” I get to keep going. I get to keep showing up. I get to keep living. I’m running this relay to raise money for a cause that matters deeply to me while doing something I love.
If you believe in showing up for people and supporting something bigger than ourselves, I’d be honored to have your support.
FUNDRAISING GOAL: $1,000
These funds support the Dallas to Austin annual relay through runner logistics, team travel, fuel, safety support, relay operations, storytelling, content creation, and community efforts that help Sayless Projects raise awareness around mental health and suicide prevention.
The total is updated every 24 to 48 hours to reflect the latest donations. Thank you for your contribution!
